Capsaicin

Capsaicin is an alkaloid which occurs naturally in various types of peppers and is responsible for the pungency of the spice of the same name. Peppers, also known as capsicums, are a species of plant in the nightshade family. They originally grew in South and Central America, but are now used worldwide as a vegetable or spice in cooking and for their medicinal properties. We offer a pure cayenne pepper extract with at least 1.5% capsaicin, obtained by means of water-ethanol extraction. Vegan, no additives.
