The lemon trees are grown according to organic standards by experienced farmers in the Mediterranean region of Murcia, Spain. The dry climate and cold overnight temperatures offer a stimulating climate for the trees, allowing for the harmonious development of aromas and compounds such as beta-pinene and gamma-terpinene. The passionate farmers cold press the essential oil from the fresh lemon peels according to strict quality standards.
The manufacturer of our high-quality essential oil of lemon has been producing essential oils in the Region of Murcia on the Mediterranean coast of Spain since 1970. The essential oils, which are either cold pressed or gently steam distilled in a stainless steel tank, are derived from organic, wildcrafted plants or from the company's own controlled organic cultivation. The farmers and distillers produce their essential oils according to ISO standards, an expertise which is reflected in their harmonious aromas. All of their products are certified organic to EU standards.
The lemon tree belongs to the Rutaceae family. It grows as a large evergreen shrub and has thorny leaf axils. In spring and summer, it is covered with fragrant white flowers, from which the yellow fruits grow. Originally from South East Asia, the lemon tree is now also found in Mediterranean countries with a similar climate, e.g. Spain and Italy.
The fruity-sweet lemon aroma exudes fresh joie de vivre and is said to improve the ability to concentrate.
