Hibiscus, botanically Hibiscus sabdariffa, is a plant genus within the mallow family. The vibrant red hibiscus blossoms not only have a fruity character but also contain valuable secondary phytochemicals such as anthocyanins. Hibiscus acid, a fruit acid, is also a characteristic component. A pure hibiscus extract with a standardised content of 10% polyphenols, obtained via a 10:1 water extraction. Free from additives, vegan.
