How are we different?
For our blend of white ginseng, Ginkgo biloba and gotu kola, we use only select plant parts of the highest quality, from native terroir.
Our white ginseng comes from Korea, where our renowned premium ginseng producer grows and processes it under conditions as close to wild growth as possible. After 3 to 5 years of growth, the root is sun-dried and gently milled into a fine powder. This preserves a standardised content of 2% ginsenosides, of which 22.9% are Rb1 and 18.6% are Rg1.
Our Ginkgo biloba extract (45:1) also comes from an original growing region in a nature reserve in southern China. After harvest, the collected leaves are gently extracted using food-grade alcohol and clear water at a ratio of 45:1. The result is an especially concentrated extract with 26.86% flavone glycosides, against a reference range of 22 to 27%, and 6.77% ginkgolides, with an exceptionally low ginkgolic acid content.
Our gotu kola plants come from indigenous terroir in India. After harvest between January and April, they are gently extracted with clear water and food-grade ethanol to protect their active compounds. This yields a pure 6:1 extract with a standardised content of 10% asiaticosides.
For the capsule shells we use custom-made HPMC capsules that, unlike most other HPMC and pullulan capsules on the market, are 100% free from controversial additives such as carrageenans and PEG. For packaging, we use glass instead of plastic.
As the only other ingredient, we use premium acacia fibre (gum arabic) as a natural bulking agent, from cultivation without chemical plant protection products. Unlike microcrystalline cellulose, the synthetic bulking agent commonly used and often containing nanoparticles, this gives us another natural food ingredient as filler. The soluble fibre in acacia fibre is pleasant to take and also serves as a food source for bifidobacteria and lactobacilli in the gut.

White Panax ginseng
White ginseng (Panax ginseng C.A. Meyer) originates from north-eastern China and Korea. In its countries of origin, the plant has been highly valued for centuries and is also referred to as the "power root" in Chinese tradition. The roots of the ginseng, which have developed over many years, are mainly used because they contain an exceptionally large number of special saponins, also called ginsenosides, which can be further differentiated according to their chemical structure: for example, into the ginsenosides Rg1, Rb1 and Rg3. Today, the plant is rarely found growing wild and is mainly cultivated. The ginsenoside content depends significantly on factors such as growth time, soil quality, climatic conditions and altitude.
Ginkgo biloba
The Chinese Ginkgo biloba tree is considered a sacred tree in its native East Asia and, like the olive tree, is one of the oldest and most resilient trees on earth. The oldest specimens are typically found in Japan and China in temples and pilgrimage sites, where they are revered as a symbol of longevity, love, fertility and hope, reaching a considerable growth height of up to 40m. Ginkgo leaves have also traditionally been used in China to protect books from pests, while the nuts have been used in Chinese traditional medicine. The leaves of the Ginkgo biloba tree contain valuable terpenes such as ginkgolides and bilobalide as well as flavone glycosides.
Gotu Kola Extract
A plant with a long tradition, gotu kola (Centella asiatica) thrives particularly well in tropical climates and is found mainly in India and Sri Lanka, but also in China, Indonesia, South America and Malaysia. Gotu kola belongs to the Umbelliferae family and is also known as Indian pennywort or tiger grass. The plant has a variety of valuable compounds, including terpenoids such as asiaticosides.
