Ashwagandha (Also Known as "Sleeping Berry" and "Indian Ginseng")

Ashwagandha extract is commonly referred to as "sleeping berry", due to its traditional use as a treatment for sleeping problems. The root, which is native to India, has also been used for thousands of years in Ayurvedic recipes to promote vitality and fertility.

The name "Indian ginseng" hints at its balancing and invigorating properties, which are similar to those of other types of ginseng (e.g. Korean ginseng).

KSM-66 Ashwagandha Extract: The Highest Concentration of Full-Spectrum Withanolides Available Worldwide

In order to obtain a full-spectrum extract from the ashwagandha root in such a high concentration (5% withanolides—as confirmed by HPLC testing), the plants must be provided with optimal growing conditions. The Indian state of Rajasthan, where our ashwagandha is grown, offers an ideal environment for cultivating high-quality ashwagandha.

The best organically grown roots are selected to undergo the unique extraction process, which does not involve the use of milk, alcohol or chemical solvents. The result is a vegan extract which contains both the lipophilic and hydrophilic components of the raw root and thus the full spectrum of withanolides. Withanolides are a substance group of steroidal lactones that have a chemical structure similar to steroid hormones. Our ashwagandha root extract has been specially produced for us, and is absolutely free from cytotoxic withaferin A.

Our ultra pure ashwagandha extract offers a full range of beneficial ingredients derived from the ashwagandha root. It has been specially produced for us by the Indian market leader, and does not contain any controversial solvents such as methanol, acetone, or N-hexane.

This product is derived from Indian ashwagandha root, and is produced in India according to the highest quality and purity standards. Bottling and encapsulation takes place in an HACCP- and GMP-certified facility in the EU. Custom production allows us to completely avoid the use of chemical additives such as magnesium stearate. This product is vegan, non-GMO, and gluten-, fructose- and lactose-free.

Recommended Dosage

Take 1–2 capsules (500mg organic ashwagandha extract per capsule) with 200ml water daily.

Food Supplement

Do not exceed the recommended dose. Food supplements cannot replace a balanced and varied diet. Keep out of reach of children. Not suitable for pregnant women, nursing mothers, children.

Warning

Ashwagandha can increase serum levels of thyroid hormones when taken over a long period of time; its use is not recommended in cases of hyperthyroidism.

There are no studies on the use of ashwagandha in children or those who are pregnant or breastfeeding; these individuals should consult a doctor before taking ashwagandha.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat.
