Our organic wheatgerm powder comes from controlled organic cultivation in the EU. Following the natural germination process, the resulting sprouts are separated from the wheat grains, gently freeze-dried to preserve the natural compounds and finely ground. The result is a wheatgerm powder that is particularly rich in fibre (11.5g/100g) with a natural spermidine content of 40mg/kg (subject to natural fluctuations) and is a source of bifido- and lactobacteria. This all-natural powder is characterised by its creamy-brown colour and the distinctive, nutty wheatgerm flavour. It is vegan and 100% additive-free. The natural germination process can contribute to better bioavailability of the beneficial plant compounds, while simultaneously reducing phytic acid and allergens. Due to the production process, the organic wheatgerm powder contains traces of gluten (>80ppm according to the manufacturer). This corresponds to >0.4mg per scoop. Products with a maximum of 20ppm gluten (corresponds to 20mg/kg) may be declared as "gluten-free", and products with 21-100ppm gluten (corresponds to 21-100mg/kg) may be declared as "low gluten". For people with gluten intolerance, the maximum intake is 20mg of gluten per day, corresponding to the gluten content of gluten-free products. Our products offered are far below this maximum intake with the recommended daily dose. We use environmentally friendly packaging made of starch, cellulose and paper, which is 100% biodegradable (compostable).
