The purple coneflower (Echinacea purpureae) is a flowering plant in the Asteraceae family. It is native to the North American prairie, and its petals and roots have historically been used as a medicinal plant by indigenous peoples of the region. How are we different?
Our highly concentrated echinacea extract is derived from sustainably cultivated purple coneflower root. After careful harvesting, the roots are gently processed using a 20:1 water-ethanol extraction. This allows for a standardised chicoric acid content of 4%.
For the capsule shells we use custom-made HPMC capsules that, unlike most other HPMC and pullulan capsules on the market, are 100% free from controversial additives such as carrageenans and PEG. We then package this product in environmentally friendly amber glass.
