Our shatavari extract is obtained from the root of the shatavari bush (Asparagus racemosus). Extraction is carried out using only water, so that the valuable ingredients never come into contact with other solvents or extraction agents such as acetone or methanol. The finished, gently dried extract contains a standardised saponin content of 20%.
For the capsule shells we use custom-made HPMC capsules that, unlike most other HPMC and pullulan capsules on the market, are 100% free from controversial additives such as carrageenans and PEG. We package this product in amber glass jars instead of plastic to protect the ingredients from light.
Shatavari (Asparagus racemosus) – also known as Satavar, Shatamull and Shatawari – is a species of asparagus native to Africa, South Asia (including the Indian subcontinent) and northern Australia. Shatavari is a small, thorny bush with a rhizome consisting of many roots 30–100cm long and up to 2cm thick. The leaves resemble soft needles and the flowers are white, which develop into red berries containing a seed. The fine roots of this wild asparagus are used in a variety of ways. Shatavari is considered one of the most important plants for women and contains a high content of valuable saponins.
Take 1 capsule daily with 200ml water before or with a meal.
