How are we different?
A highly pure 8:1 water-ethanol extraction process provides the basis for our high-quality fermented Rhodiola rosea. It is particularly important to us that only food-grade ethanol is used. During the carefully controlled triple fermentation process, which lasts three months, new, beneficial compounds are created, enriched, stabilised or transformed. This leads to a standardised content of 1.5% tyrosol and beneficial paraprobiotics. Our Rhodiola rosea extract is also highly bioavailable.
For the capsule shells we use custom-made HPMC capsules that, unlike most other HPMC and pullulan capsules on the market, are 100% free from controversial additives such as carrageenans and PEG. We then package this product in environmentally friendly amber glass.

Rhodiola rosea thrives in the icy heights of the Siberian Altai Mountains and in Scandinavia, known for its long, dark winters. It is a type of Rhodiola from the family Crassulaceae and is sometimes called rose root because of its characteristic, rose-like smell. The rose root typically achieves a growth height of 5 - 20cm. The petals of the female plant are yellow and turn to a reddish orange as they fade, whereas the flowers of the male plant are a bright purple. The rhodiola is extremely resistant to cold and darkness and, as a succulent plant, is able to store water and can also thrive in dry locations. Due to its many valuable phytochemicals, including the phenylpropanoid rosavin as well as the phenylethanoid salidroside, preparations of rose root have long been used in Siberian and Russian traditional medicine.
