Originating from northern China and Mongolia, astragalus (Astragalus membranaceus), also known as tragacanth, is one of the most important plants in Chinese traditional medicine and has been used there for thousands of years. With its multicoloured flowers, the herbaceous plant belongs to the subfamily of papilionaceous plants. Due to its yellowish roots, the plant is also called "huáng qí" or "yellow life energy" in China.

Highly pure premium water-ethanol extract (50:1) of astragalus with a CAG and CA content of 0.2 %. Triple fermented with lactic acid under controlled conditions for 3 months. 200mg extract with 0.4 mg cycloastragenol and calycosine, 4 billion CFU and 20mg polysaccharides per capsule. Vegan. 60 capsules
- Highly pure 50:1 water-ethanol extract from astragalus
- Activated by a natural, 3 month long, controlled lactic acid triple fermentation process with vegan Lactobacillus plantarum cultures
- The fermentation process creates new nutrients and enriches, stabilises and transforms others
- This results in a standardised content of 0.2% cycloastragenol (CAG), 0.2% calycosin (CA), 10% polysaccharides and 20 billion cfu/g paraprobiotics (Lactobacillus plantarum)
- Cycloastragenol (CAG), an aglycone form of astragalosides (main saponins of astragalus) is an important criterion for assessing quality
- Calycosin (CA) is the main flavonoid of Astragalus
- Flavonoids are broken down into smaller, more active antioxidant molecules
- SOD-like substances remain protected from stomach acid
- High bioavailability and rapid absorption in the small intestine
- 200mg extract with 0.4mg CAG, 0.4mg CA, 20mg polysaccharides and 4 billion cfu of paraprobiotics is sufficient as a daily intake under normal circumstances
