Our blend of white ginseng, Ginkgo biloba and gotu kola comprises only high-quality plant parts selected from the best terroirs in the world. This is how our unique phytochemical complex is created from genuine Korean Panax ginseng, traditional Chinese Ginkgo biloba leaves and the Indian water navel (gotu kola).
White Panax ginseng
White ginseng (Panax ginseng C.A. Meyer) originally comes from north-eastern China and Korea. In its countries of origin, the plant has been highly valued for centuries and is also called the power root within the Chinese tradition. The roots of ginseng, which have developed over the years, are mainly used. These contain a particularly large number of special saponins, also known as ginsenosides, which can be further differentiated on the basis of their chemical structure: e.g. the ginsenosides Rg1, Rb1 and Rg3. Today, the plant can hardly be found growing wild and is mainly cultivated. The ginsenoside content is largely dependent on factors such as growth period, soil quality, climatic conditions and altitude.
Ginkgo biloba
The Chinese Ginkgo biloba tree is considered a sacred tree in its native East Asia and, like the olive tree, is one of the oldest and most resilient trees on earth. The oldest specimens are typically found in Japan and China in temples and pilgrimage sites, where they are revered as a symbol of longevity, love, fertility and hope, reaching a considerable growth height of up to 40m. Ginkgo leaves have also traditionally been used in China to protect books from pests, while the nuts have been used in Chinese traditional medicine. The leaves of the Ginkgo biloba tree contain valuable terpenes such as ginkgolides and bilobalide as well as flavone glycosides.
Gotu Kola
A plant with a long tradition, gotu kola (Centella asiatica) thrives particularly well in tropical climates and is found mainly in India and Sri Lanka, but also in China, Indonesia, South America and Malaysia. Gotu kola belongs to the Umbelliferae family and is also known as Indian pennywort or tiger grass. The plant has a variety of valuable compounds, including terpenoids such as asiaticosides.
