Finest Origin - Highest Grade

This thyme is grown and processed in a controlled organic way at an altitude of 1000 meters in Andalusia, Spain by the experienced farmers. The Mediterranean climate with seasonal temperature fluctuations of strong heat and drought and cold nights allow the thyme to form its special ingredients and flavors in a harmonious relationship. These include terpinen-4-ol and gamma-terpinene. The essential oil is extracted from the fresh flowering herb by gentle steam distillation in the local distillery. The passion and experience of the farmers and distillers in cultivation, harvest and production is reflected in the round aroma of the essential oil.

Farm

The manufacturer of our high-quality essential oil of lemon has been producing essential oils in the Region of Murcia on the Mediterranean coast of Spain since 1970. The essential oils, which are either cold pressed or gently steam distilled in a stainless steel tank, are derived from organic, wildcrafted plants or from the company's own controlled organic cultivation. The farmers and distillers produce their essential oils according to ISO standards, an expertise which is reflected in their harmonious aromas. All of their products are certified organic to EU standards.

Thyme

This thyme, Thymus vulgaris, is the typical garden thyme, which forms a high proportion of linalool. It belongs to the Lamiaceae family. It forms whorled clusters of bright purple to white flowers from late spring to early summer. Originally it is found in the western Mediterranean area as far as southern Italy. Depending on the origin it forms different ingredients more strongly, therefore there are so-called chemotypes (ct.), linalool, thymol, geraniol and thujanol which are contained in the essential oil. It is popularly used as a spice in the kitchen.

Aroma

The herbaceous-fresh nuances of this thyme have a pleasantly liberating effect and make it easier to breathe deeply. The mild, sweet herbal aroma helps to release tension and stress of any kind, gives inner balance and a healthy self-confidence.
