Finest Origin - Highest Grade

The Verbenon rosemary originally comes from France, this rosemary grows on the Mediterranean island of Corsica in its natural terroir. The climatic conditions with Mediterranean winds, hot and dry days and sometimes cold nights as well as mineral soils allow the plants to thrive optimally. The many aromas, such as alpha-pinene, bornyl acetate and verbenone, develop in a balanced relationship. At the right moment, the flowering branches are gently harvested by hand and then processed into pure essential oil with steam in their own distillery.

Farm

This essential oil is produced by a small family business in France that specialises in wildcrafting indigenous plants. Their passion for distilling wild plants began around 1990. At the time, they produced their assortment of high-quality essential oils at their small distillery, but by 2003 they were able to move into a much larger distillery where they conduct gentle steam distillation. The wild plants, some of them harvested at very high altitudes and some at sea level, are all collected by hand by the passionate staff. Any missing oils are sourced from partners whose origin and standards are also well documented. All their essential oils and other natural products are certified organic to EU standards.

Rosemary

The aromatic, fragrant rosemary shrub is an evergreen which belongs to the Lamiaceae family. Its purplish blue to white flowers are popular with bees and butterflies. The shrub can grow up to 1.5m in height and diameter. Rosmarinus officinalis is native to the Mediterranean region, but is also successfully cultivated in locations with a similar climate, such as Madagascar. Depending on the precise climatic conditions of the area in which a rosemary plant grows, it produces different components in stronger concentrations, which is why there are so-called chemotypes (ct.), such as cineole, camphor (borneol) and verbenone. These components are contained within the essential oil. Fresh and dried rosemary leaves are used in aromatherapy to vitalise body and mind, and in cooking as a spice.

Aroma

The aromatic rosemary verbenone frees you from all superfluous things. The sweetish, subtly pungent nuances have a very balancing, toning effect.
