The acerola shrub, whose fruits look similar to European cherries (although they are not related), is endemic to Central and South America. Acerola grows mainly along roadsides and rivers, but also on dry, rocky mountain slopes at altitudes up to 1600m. The acerola cherry is known for its exceptionally high natural content of vitamin C with approximately 1700mg / 100g in the fresh fruit.

Our raw, organic camu camu powder (Myrciaria dubia) is derived from hand-picled whole fruits – including pulp and seeds – and is rich in vitamin C. This fruit grows wild along rivers in the Peruvian Amazon at an elevation of 200–300m. Sourced directly from the manufacturer and tested in a German laboratory.

Mexican wild yam (Dioscorea villosa) is particularly interesting due to its remarkable content of diosgenin, a substance that belongs to the group of steroids, much like sex hormones. The root is particularly valued by women because of its nutritional information. This Mexican yam root extract is obtained via water-ethanol extraction at an extraction ratio of 10:1, resulting in a diosgenin content of 20%. With gum arabic from sustainable cultivation as a natural filler. Vegan.
