This freshwater algae, also known as Arthrospira platensis, is actually a type of cyanobacterium (also called blue-green algae). Premium plant-based complex of iron-rich spirulina combined with organic iron from an extract of curry leaves and vitamin C. The spirulina, a particularly mineral-rich strain (Spirulina platensis), is grown in sunny, open-air basins and supplied with fresh mountain spring water from the Kenting National Park. Gourmet Spirulina platensis – Italy
These particularly sweet and mild spirulina flakes are sourced from northern Italy, where the spirulina is naturally cultivated in clear alkaline mountain spring water and processed at a maximum of 38.5°C. This process preserves its nutrients, resulting in a natural rich content of vitamin B12. These raw, organic flakes make a gourmet addition to any salad or cooked dish.
Spirulina pacifica – Hawai'i
This original Spirulina pacifica by Nutrex has been sourced from an optimal natural location on the Kona coast of Hawai'i. It has been specially produced for us without silicon dioxide using a patented, particularly gentle spray-drying process (referred to as the "ocean chill" method). This process preserves over 90% of the nutrients and results in a pleasantly mild flavour.
