As a natural result of being freshwater algae, the iodine content of spirulina and chlorella is much lower than in sea algae. Iodine is therefore only present in trace amounts in our spirulina, which makes the daily consumption of these tablets safe. We additionally have the iodine content tested by the producer, which confirms a low concentration of 2µg iodine per tablet.
