This essential oil of coriander comes from direct purchase from an organic certified farm in France. Coriander finds optimal growing conditions in the Mediterranean climate of France. In particular, the sunny and warm climate stimulates the concentrated formation of valuable ingredients and aromas in coriander. The oil is extracted from the seeds between July and August directly after harvesting on the farm in compliance with the highest quality standards from steam distillation. Due to their many years of experience, the distillers use a particularly gentle distillation process, which leads to an almost complete extraction of the valuable plant substances.

Farm
We source this essential oil from a renowned and certified producer located in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France. The company was founded in the early 20th century and has cooperation partners worldwide, small to large farms, where the plants' origin and quality are well monitored. The essential oils are extracted on site either by gentle steam distillation in a stainless steel tank or by cold pressing. The first certified organic products date back to 2001.
Coriander
Coriander has its presumed origin in the Mediterranean region and is cultivated today a worldwide distribution. Coriander belongs to the large plant family of the umbelliferae (Apiaceae). There are only two species in the genus Coriandrum. The annual herb plant can reach a height of up to 130 cm. It prefers a sunny location with loose and nutrient-rich soil. The characteristic spherical coriander fruits form from the white flowers, which bloom between June and August. As a popular seasoning and medicinal herb, both the aromatic leaves and spherical seeds are used.
Aroma
The warm and spicy aromas are invigorating and refreshing.
