Finest Origin - Highest Grade

The wildcrafted Himalayan cedars thrive at altitudes of between 1,500m and 3,200m in the Himalayas of Nepal. At these altitudes, the fresh air, significant temperatures fluctuations and pristine soil provide optimal growing conditions for the trees to develop their unique components, including beta- and alpha-himachalene. The wood and roots of the cedar are hand-harvested from October to December. Following harvesting, the materials are brought down to lower altitudes, and the essential oil is extracted on-site via steam distillation.

Farm

This family-run producer was founded in Nepal around 2010. The producer regularly recruits new farms for cooperation, and farmers are thoroughly trained in organic cultivation methods. The farm's essential oils are derived from plants which are all either wildcrafted or cultivated organically, in the mountains of Nepal. The plants are then processed in the producer's own distilleries located across the country. The producer's passion for growing and nurturing aromatic indigenous plants is reflected by the fine aromas of the oils. Most of the products are certified with the EU organic seal.

Himalayan cedar

The Himalayan cedar thrives in the Himalayan region; in Nepal, India and Afghanistan. It is best suited to altitudes of 1,200-3,000m, as well as cool temperatures and damp and rocky landscapes. It belongs to the pine (Pinaceae) family, and can grow up to 35m high and 12m wide. Its cones can grow 9cm tall and 5cm wide, while its blueish, turquoise-green needles grow up to 5cm long, and gather in small clusters on the branches.

Aroma

The aromatic scent is reminiscent of fresh wood chips and has a strong, uplifting effect. The aroma promotes feelings of courage and confidence.
