The organic ylang ylang trees grow on the tropical islands of the Comoros. The oceanic climate, with its strong winds, tropical temperatures and abundance of minerals offers optimal growing conditions for the trees. As a result, they are able to fully develop a harmonious ratio of aromas, including germacrene and benzyl acetate.

The blossoms are gently hand-harvested by the farmers throughout the year and, within 15 minutes, are carefully processed via steam distillation. Our ylang ylang essential oil is from the "Extra Supérieur" fraction, which is extracted within the first quarter of an hour of distillation and contains the finest floral aromas. The producer's experience and passion are reflected by the fine aromas of this essential oil.

Farm

This essential oil is sourced from a renowned and certified producer based in Valréas in northern Provence, France. The company was founded in 1980 and owns several essential oil plantations and farms all over the world. The origin and quality of the plants are well documented. The company ensures that the highest standards are maintained and works professionally and passionately to produce excellent essential oils.

The oils are produced from freshly harvested plant materials via steam distillation. The experienced producers use a very gentle distillation method with low water pressure, which leads to the extraction of almost all the valuable plant substances. Their products are certified organic according to French EcoCert standards.

Ylang Ylang

The ylang ylang trees (Cananga odorata) thrive in tropical and subtropical forests from India to Australia, as well as on the Pacific Islands and the Indian Ocean, in countries such as the Comoros and Madagascar. These exotic plants belong to the Annonaceae family. The tree grows up to 20m tall and has hanging branches with medium to dark green leaves. In autumn, it produces clusters of highly fragrant yellow blossoms. Distilled in stages, the petals produce different distillates with respectively different aromas within the period of around 20 hours.

Aroma
