The rose geraniums are grown organically by experienced farmers in Egypt. The hot, dry climate, seasonal cold nights and sandy soil are the ideal growing conditions for the plants. They produce their fragrances and ingredients in a concentrated and harmonious ratio, including neral, geraniol and isomenthone. The inflorescences are carefully harvested by the farmers and distilled by experienced distillers using gentle steam to produce the 100% naturally pure and aromatic essential oil.

We source this essential oil from a renowned and certified producer located in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France. The company was founded in the early 20th century and today partners with several essential oil crop farms worldwide, where the plants' origin and quality are well monitored. Production on these farms is passionate and adheres to the strict quality standards set by the European organic certification body, which they have been certified by since 2001. After harvesting, the plants are either cold pressed or gently steam distilled in a stainless steel tank to release their essential oils.

The rose geranium (Pelargonium graveolens) belongs to the large storksbill family (Geraniaceae). The 230 different species occur in a variety of habitats, from mountains to deserts, and are mainly endemic to southern Africa. Pelargonium graveolens is also known as rose geranium or scented geranium. It grows bushy with slightly rough, slit leaves, which give off a scent of rose with subtle notes of lemon.

The intensely floral aromas convey calm and balance. In states of depression and stress, this fragrance has a regenerating effect and inspires courage.
