The star-shaped flowers are collected by hand throughout the year and carefully distilled within 24 hours. The complete goes through the entire distillation process of about 24 hours and therefore has an unusual combination of sesquiterpenes and aromatic esters. We obtain this essential oil from a cooperative founded around 2005 in the heart of Madagascar. It works with small farms distributed throughout the country, which grow the various essential oil plants individually according to their climatic requirements or harvest them by hand through wild collection. After harvesting, the oils are distilled on site using steam. In addition, our manufacturer is committed to various social projects, such as reforestation and workshops for children and adults in Madagascar. The oils are produced according to EU organic standards and are certified with the EU organic seal.
Ylang Ylang
Ylang Ylang (Cananga odorata) is a tropical evergreen tree that belongs to the family of annonaceae, the largest family of magnolia species. Its original distribution is in the region of Oceania and today it is cultivated in many countries of the tropical and subtropical climatic zone, such as, for example, the Comoros or Madagascar. The tree has a growth height of up to 20 meters and bears yellowish-green, strongly fragrant flowers that can reach a diameter of up to 8 cm. The coveted, exotic-sweet smelling essential oil is extracted from the flowers by steam distillation. The extraction of the oil takes place in stages over a period of 24 hours and, depending on the duration, defines the different notes and modes of action of the complex, natural ingredients.
