The cinnamon trees, whose berries form the basis of our sugandah kokila oil, are native to Nepal and thrive at an elevation of 1,300m in the wilderness of the Himalayas. In this region, the fresh air, nutrient-rich soil and rocky landscape offer optimal growing conditions for the trees to develop their aromas, which include 1.8-cineole and methyl cinnamate. The berries are hand-harvested from October to November. The plants are sorted, then processed with steam in the producer's own distilleries located across the country.

Farm
This family-run producer was founded in Nepal around 2010. The producer regularly recruits new farms for cooperation, and farmers are thoroughly trained in organic cultivation methods. The farm's essential oils are derived from plants which are all either wildcrafted or cultivated organically, in the mountains of Nepal. The plants are then processed in the producer's own distilleries located across the country. The producer's passion for growing and nurturing aromatic indigenous plants is reflected by the fine aromas of the oils. Most of the products are certified with the EU organic seal.
