The evergreen ho tree, also known as the camphor tree or camphor laurel, finds its home in East Asia. Endemic to China, it grows in the regions south of the Yangtze River, where the warm, temperate to subtropical climate provides the ideal growing conditions to develop the specific camphor-typical aromas and ingredients for this chemotype, such as linalool and myrcene.
The wood is harvested by hand all year round, except in the winter months, and distilled using a gentle steam process.

Finest Origin - Highest Grade
Farm
Our Spanish essential oil producer has been working with aromatic plants since 1996, which led to the creation of the small family business in 2004. The expertise of the company lies on the one hand in the production of essential oils from domestic plants on the other hand it obtains other oils from cooperatives worldwide. The quality and origin of the oils are therefore very well researched and documented. The native oils are either from their own controlled organic cultivation or from wild collection in the region of Andalusia. The manufacturer produces the essential oils with steam in its own distillery, in addition, its products are certified organic since 2004.
Ho tree
The Ho tree, also called camphor tree or camphor laurel, finds its home in southern China, southern Japan and in the Formosa region in Taiwan. The evergreen tree belongs to the laurel family (Lauracaeae) and genus Cinnamomum. Ho trees can reach heights of up to 30 metres and live for more than 1,500 years. The essential oil is extracted from the aromatic leaves or the wood. Depending on the origin, the plant produces specific chemotypes, such as camphor, linalool, 1,8-cineole, nerolidol, safrole, or borneol.
Aroma
The fine floral fragrance has a calming and harmonising effect on body and mind. It invites you to relax and take a deep breath.
