How are we different?

Our Phyto Balance spray with C'B'D uniquely combines the full effect spectrum of high-quality, 10% C'B'D hemp oil with the harmonious properties of frankincense (B. rivae), ylang ylang and black pepper essential oils, plus bourbon vanilla extract.

There are two types of C'B'D oils on the market: those that offer C'B'D as an isolated ingredient, either produced synthetically or completely chemically purified, and those that offer C'B'D as a full-spectrum extract, which retains all the natural, potent phytochemicals, including terpenes, lipids, polyphenols and flavonoids. The positive effects of natural extracts can far outweigh those of isolated compounds due to what is known as the entourage effect, where a synergistic interplay occurs between the natural hemp compounds.

Although isolated C'B'D products have a milder taste and are more affordable, we choose to offer C'B'D oils derived through a gentle ethanol extraction that retains not only the C'B'D, but also 2-3% other cannabinoids and hundreds of other substances including terpenes, polyphenols and flavonoids, which all contribute to the entourage effect. Furthermore, because the extraction is performed without chemical solvents such as N-hexane and acetone, we are able to offer a completely pure C'B'D oil. The golden colour of the oil reflects its unique quality. 

Our hand-selected blend of sweet, resinous frankincense (B. rivae), exotic and floral ylang ylang and spicy black pepper essential oils, combined with sweet and woody Bourbon vanilla extract, creates a balancing and harmonious aroma that rounds off the spray in a unique way.

Our frankincense (B. rivae) essential oil is made from the resin of wildcrafted frankincense trees, grown in their native region of Ethiopia, where they are able to thrive in their natural environment without the harmful influence of air pollution. The hand-harvested resin is processed into ultra-pure essential oil via gentle steam distillation.

Our ylang ylang essential oil is produced from the hand-harvested blossoms of ylang ylang trees grown on the tropical islands of the Comoros. The oceanic climate, with its strong winds, tropical temperatures and abundance of minerals, offers optimal growing conditions for the trees. As a result, they are able to fully develop a harmonious ratio of aromas, including germacrene and benzyl acetate. Our ylang ylang essential oil is from the "Extra Supérieur" fraction, which is extracted within the first quarter of an hour of distillation and contains the finest floral aromas.

For our black pepper essential oil, we use peppercorns grown in Madagascar. They are hand-harvested between April and October, then gently steam distilled in a local distillery.

The Bourbon vanilla (V. planifolia) extract is sourced from vanilla cultivated in Madagascar without the use of plant protection products. After harvest, the vanilla beans are sorted according to aroma, then carefully crushed in preparation for the gentle water-ethanol extraction. This produces an extract with a rich, intense vanilla aroma and warm, sweet and spicy notes.

All components of our C'B'D oils are sourced from pesticide-free cultivation. We use ultra-pure coconut MCT oil as a carrier oil, which guarantees a long shelf-life as well as optimal absorption of the fat-soluble phytochemicals.
