For our melatonin spray we use 99% high-purity N-acetyl-5-methoxytryptamine from European production. The melatonin is dissolved in water and 10% alcohol for optimum shelf life. We have added a dash of lemon oil for a light, pleasant flavour. We have completely avoided all preservatives commonly used in melatonin products, such as sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate, as well as sweeteners and artificial flavourings.

We use light-protected and environmentally friendly amber glass instead of plastic for packaging, with a precision spray head for exact dosing during sublingual application.

Melatonin

Melatonin is a bodily hormone and antioxidant that is synthesised from the amino acid L-tryptophan and the intermediary 5-HTP primarily in the pineal gland, but also in small quantities in the retina and intestines. Melatonin synthesis and dispersion is light-dependent; darkness promotes the production of melatonin while daylight and blue light (especially from electronic devices) suppress it. During the day, melatonin levels in the body are 3-12 times lower than at night. The release of melatonin is responsible for deep sleep, during which the regeneration phase is initiated. Bodily melatonin production decreases with age.

Dosage

Directions

Take 4 sprays (1mg melatonin per spray) daily at nighttime. To prevent the feeling of jet lag, take 4-20 sprays at night before going to sleep for 2-5 days after flying.

Contraindications

Not suitable during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Not recommended for children. Do not operate heavy machinery after consuming this product. Consult a doctor before use if taking medication.
