This rare essential oil is extracted from the fresh leaves and twigs of the Amazonian rosewood tree (Aniba rosaeodora). Our partner cultivates rosewood trees and other aromatic plants on dedicated reforestation areas in the tropical regions of Brazil. Through targeted pruning of the renewable plant parts, the valuable timber stock of the trees is fully preserved. The cuttings are processed on site in the producer's local distillery via gentle steam distillation. The defining natural main component of this special oil is beta-caryophyllene, with a content of 70–90%.

Farm
The company specialises in the production of essential oils from Brazil's endemic aromatic plants. It works with the highest quality standards, respects biodiversity and is committed to the social development of the indigenous population of the region. The producer relies on communities of indigenous people who harvest wild plants as well as on small and medium-sized farms. In this way, the manufacturer offers alternative income opportunities and does its part to reduce the pressure to cut down the rainforest. The traceability of the origin of its products and its commitment to protecting Brazil's nature are well documented. The manufacturer is a member of the UEBT organisation "Sourcing with Respect."
Rosewood
The evergreen rosewood tree (Aniba rosaeodora) is native to the tropical rainforests of South America, particularly the Amazon basin of Brazil. The majestic tree belongs to the laurel family (Lauraceae) and typically reaches a height of up to 30m. Its leathery, elongated-elliptical leaves have a dark green, glossy upper side and release a characteristic, spicy-aromatic scent when crushed. During the flowering period, the tree bears small, yellowish to slightly reddish flowers, from which dark, egg-shaped berry fruits develop. On their own reforestation areas, our partner specifically cultivates these trees to obtain high-quality essential oil through the gentle pruning of the regenerating leaves and branches.
Aroma
A deeply balancing fragrance that conveys stability and grounding. The sweet, spicy, woody aroma calms the mind, promotes concentration on the essentials and envelops rooms in a cozy harmony. Excellent for meditation, tai chi and quiet evening rituals.
