Our rosemary essential oil is made from a select variety of rosemary specifically suited to the cooler environment of Tasmania. This particular cultivar has high levels of α-pinene, 1,8-cineole and verbenone, which together produce a well-rounded aroma. At the height of summer in the southern hemisphere, our experienced farmers harvest the freshly flowering rosemary and distill the sprigs into pure essential oil using gentle steam at their own small distillery.

Farm
This high-quality essential oil is made by a small company founded in Australia in 1980 which produces a small but ever-growing range of indigenous essential oils and plant extracts. Their natural products are obtained from either certified organic, sustainably cultivated or wildcrafted plants in collaboration with local producers, and they ensure traceability and sustainability while producing essential oils and plant extracts of the highest quality.
Rosemary
The aromatic, fragrant rosemary plant is an evergreen belonging to the Lamiaceae (Lamiaceae) family. The shrub can grow up to 1.5m in both height and diameter, and its purplish blue to white flowers are beloved by bees and butterflies. Rosmarinus officinalis is indigenous to the Mediterranean region but can also be successfully cultivated in areas with a similar climate, such as Tasmania. Depending on the precise environmental conditions of the region, the rosemary plant produces different compounds in stronger concentrations, which results in a variety of chemotypes (ct.), such as pinene, cineole, camphor (borneol) and verbenone. These aromatic compounds are naturally contained in the essential oil.
Aroma
Complex and clean aroma with refreshing alpine notes, balanced by sweet, floral base notes. The fresh scent invigorates and empowers with its uplifting effect. A subtle effervescence clears the mind, bringing focus to thoughts and boosting concentration.
