How are we different?
This turmeric complex combines highly concentrated curcuminoids from turmeric extract with the full phytochemical spectrum of the turmeric root, sourced from natural, unprocessed turmeric powder. This combination creates an ideal synergy between high-dose curcuminoids and the root's other valuable compounds.
Turmeric extracts available on the market often consist only of isolated curcuminoids, or are sometimes even boosted with synthetically produced curcuminoids. We use only high-quality extracts from 100% natural sources. Our 30:1 extract is standardised to a 95% curcuminoid content and, as a high-purity ethanol extract, is also guaranteed free from toxic extraction residues such as methanol, acetone or n-hexane.
Quality also varies considerably among turmeric powders. Some manufacturers add colourants to visually compensate for low curcumin content, or bulk out the product with additives or starch to increase volume. Our powder is 100% pure turmeric powder with 3.7% curcuminoids, with no sweeteners or preservatives. Good-quality turmeric can typically be identified by a curcumin or curcuminoid content between 2.5% and 5%; this value fluctuates somewhat, as it's a natural product.
Turmeric cultivation is often affected by groundwater contaminated with heavy metals or pesticides, causing environmental pollutants to accumulate throughout the plant. Our Organic Turmeric 3300 is 100% natural in origin, sourced directly from an organic-certified producer in India: the plants are grown without synthetic plant protection products and are never irradiated, allowing the natural phytochemical profile of turmeric to develop fully and robustly. The rhizomes are gently shade-dried, finely milled and then either extracted or used directly as powder. The fresher the turmeric, the more essential oils and phytochemicals it retains, which is why long-term storage is never an option for us.
Based on our own experience and research, raw-food quality is not a meaningful quality criterion for turmeric, as it always carries microbiological risks. Salmonella, other pathogens or mould can quickly compromise quality as a result. Gentle steam sterilisation (i.e. germ reduction using hot steam) is a method for making a product cleaner, and is in fact mandatory for all high-quality turmeric raw materials from India. Many manufacturers label their turmeric powder as "raw," which shouldn't be possible for naturally grown turmeric raw materials from India.
For capsule shells, we use special HPMC capsules, which, unlike most other HPMC or pullulan capsules on the market, are manufactured 100% without the excipients carrageenan and PEG.
We package this product in amber glass jars instead of plastic to protect the ingredients from light.

Turmeric (Curcuma) from India
Turmeric (Curcuma longa L.), a plant native to India that belongs to the family of ginger plants, has been considered sacred for more than 5000 years. The ancient Indian Vedas scriptures indicate that the "yellow root," or "Indian saffron," has long been one of the country's most important spices. In Ayurvedic tradition as well as Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), the root is still believed to have important medicinal and therapeutic uses, and has warming, cleansing, and stimulating properties. In Europe, different types of yellow root have also been known to serve as liver and gall bladder remedies since ancient times. Turmeric is one of the most well-researched plants in the world, with most scientific interest focussing on the plant's unique curcuminoids. However, other components of the root (such as essential oils and tumerosaccharides) are increasingly becoming the focal point of research.
Curcuminoids, or "Curcumin"
Curcumin, cyclocurcumin, bisdemethoxycurcumin and demethoxycurcumin together form the main components of the root, the curcuminoids, often simply referred to as "curcumin". Each capsule of our Organic Curcuma 3300 contains 100mg of pure curcuminoids, with the capsule content corresponding to the amount of 3365mg of turmeric powder. The natural enhancer piperine increases the absorption of the poorly soluble, lipophilic and therefore only slightly bioavailable curcuminoids by 20 times (2000%). As a pure ethanol extract, it is also guaranteed free of toxic extraction residues such as methanol, acetone or N-hexane.
20x Higher Bioavailability Due to Piperine
The alkaloid piperine is a bioenhancer commonly found in pepper that improves the bioavailability of other ingredients by increasing intestinal wall permeability and blocking liver enzymes (CYP-enzymes) that impede the reabsorption of certain ingredients due to the first pass effect. The piperine used in our products is derived from black pepper extract and is guaranteed free from synthetic materials as well as pesticides and toxic extraction residues such as n-hexane, acetone and methanol.
Organic Turmeric Powder—The Full Spectrum of Turmeric
To complement the highly concentrated curcuminoids, each capsule contains 300mg of pure turmeric powder, grown without synthetic plant protection products in India. This embeds the extracted curcuminoids within a naturally rich context, complemented by the other valuable compounds of the turmeric root.
