Finest Origin - Highest Grade

The mandarins are cultivated according to organic standards in Calabria, Italy, and harvested by hand when they are at their optimum ripeness. The region of Calabria is renowned for the cultivation of citrus fruits such as bergamot, mandarin, orange and lemon, which are able to develop intense flavours as a result of the Mediterranean climate there. Following harvesting in autumn, the fruits are taken to a local farm for processing, where the passionate and experienced farmers extract the oils via cold pressing.

Farm

The producer of our high-quality mandarin essential oil is a small, family-run company with years of experience in the cultivation, harvesting and processing of citrus fruits. The company is located in the heart of Calabria, Italy. The fresh citrus fruits are harvested throughout the year and processed into juices as well as essential oils. The 100% natural, certified organic essential oils are gently extracted via cold pressing.

Organic Green Mandarin Oil

Mandarin

The mandarin belongs to the citrus family (Rutaceae). Mandarin plants can grow as trees or large, thorny shrubs. In the spring, the plant blooms fragrant, white blossoms in small clusters between 2 and 4cm wide. The small fruits grow from autumn into the new year and can reach sizes of up to 8cm in diameter. While mandarins are endemic to Southeast Asia, they are also cultivated in the Mediterranean region. The essential oil is extracted from the mandarin peels as well as the fresh twigs and leaves. The oil produced from this new growth is also known as petitgrain.
