We use 99% high-purity N-acetyl-5-methoxytryptamine for our melatonin tablets. The only other ingredient we use is pure natural premium gum arabic grown without pesticides. In contrast to the usual synthetic microcrystalline cellulose mixed with nanoparticles, we use a natural, high-fibre foodstuff. Our gum arabic comes from climate-neutral, sustainable, resource-conserving and fair cultivation. We completely avoid all preservatives commonly used in melatonin products, such as sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate.

We use light-protected and environmentally friendly amber glass instead of plastic for our packaging.

Melatonin

Melatonin is a bodily hormone and antioxidant that is synthesised from the amino acid L-tryptophan and the intermediary 5-HTP primarily in the pineal gland, but also in small quantities in the retina and intestines. Melatonin synthesis and dispersion is light-dependent; darkness promotes the production of melatonin while daylight and blue light (especially from electronic devices) suppress it. During the day, melatonin levels in the body are 3-12 times lower than at night. The release of melatonin is responsible for deep sleep, during which the regeneration phase is initiated. Bodily melatonin production decreases with age.

Dosage

Recommended Dosage

Take 1 tablet (1mg melatonin) daily in the evening with 200ml water.

Contraindications

Not suitable during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Not recommended for children. Do not operate heavy machinery after consuming this product. Consult a doctor before use if taking medication.
