- Highest quality magnesium citrate: trimagnesium dicitrate with 98% purity & 14.5% magnesium (in contrast, magnesium hydrogen citrate only contains approximately 7% magnesium)
- Organic trimagnesium dicitrate is a special form of magnesium that is easily absorbed by the body
- As a chelated magnesium and citric acid with a special focus and properties
- pH value of approximately 7–8, which is neutral to slightly alkaline (in contrast, magnesium hydrogen citrate has a pH value of 3.5–4.5)

How are we different?
There are two types of magnesium citrate, which contain either approximately 7% or 15% magnesium. The trimagnesium dicitrate we use has a high active ingredient content (15%) and is characterised by high bioavailability and absorption rates. It has an active ingredient purity of over 98%.
Magnesium citrate is alkalising and contributes to normal energy metabolism, normal muscle function, electrolyte balance and normal protein synthesis.
For the capsule shells we use custom-made HPMC capsules that, unlike most other HPMC and pullulan capsules on the market, are 100% free from controversial additives such as carrageenans and PEG. We then package this product in amber glass.
Effects
Trimagnesium Dicitrate
Magnesium citrate contributes to electrolyte balance, normal energy metabolism, muscle function and protein synthesis. Trimagnesium dicitrate has a particularly high content of pure magnesium.
Trimagnesium dicitrate is considered a cost-effective magnesium compound with high bioavailability. It is usually well tolerated by those with a sensitive gut and is quickly absorbed by the body in contrast to magnesium carbonate, for example, which is continuously absorbed over a longer period of time.
Magnesium for Muscles
Magnesium citrate contributes to electrolyte balance as well as normal energy metabolism, muscle function and protein synthesis, making it particularly important for athletes.
According to the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA):
Magnesium contributes to:
- The reduction of tiredness and fatigue
- Electrolyte balance
- Normal energy-yielding metabolism
- Normal functioning of the nervous system
- Normal muscle function
- Normal protein synthesis
- Normal psychological function
- The maintenance of normal bones
- The maintenance of normal teeth
- Cell division
Dosage
Directions
Take 3 capsules (100mg pure magnesium per capsule) daily with 200ml water, ideally spread throughout the day.
Note: Spreading the dosage out across the day can improve absorption, since only a limited amount of magnesium can be absorbed at a time. Ideal intake times for magnesium include the morning just after waking, before lunch or after sports, and in the evening before bed. Taking magnesium on an empty stomach or 30 minutes before a meal can improve absorption.
Daily Requirements
The German Nutrition Society recommends a daily intake of between 300mg–400mg of magnesium (NRV: 375mg). However, individual magnesium needs may vary according to biochemical factors, and can be significantly increased during stressful periods.
Note: According to the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR), magnesium intake through supplements should not exceed a maximum daily amount of 250mg of magnesium in food supplements in order to avoid a laxative effect (mild diarrhoea). The maximum amount applies to persons aged 4 years and older; for infants under 4 years of age, there is no such guidance relating to a daily maximum due to lack of data.
The BfR recommends that the daily dose be divided into at least two separate doses per day. This is because scientific data shows that magnesium tolerability is increased when intake is spread between two or more portions per day.
Food Supplement
Do not exceed the recommended daily intake. Food supplements are not a substitute for a balanced, varied diet and healthy lifestyle. Keep out of reach of young children.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat.

Laboratory Tests
The purity of our formulas is important to us. This is why we have both our raw ingredients as well as our finished products extensively tested by independent laboratories to confirm purity and active ingredient content. Here, we have provided the results of some of the tests carried out on this product.
