The wild kanuka trees grow in the unspoilt nature of coastal New Zealand. There, the oceanic climate, with seasonal tropical temperature fluctuations, offers optimal growing conditions for the trees. As a result, it is able to form its unique ingredients and aromas, including monoterpenes (e.g. alpha-pinene) and sesquiterpenes. The leaves and branches are carefully hand-harvested and brought to the distillery, where they are extracted via gentle distillation.

The employees of the family-owned business are experienced and passionate about their work, and comply with the highest quality standards.

The producer of our kanuka essential oil is a small, family-owned business based in New Zealand, which owns large areas in which the manuka and kanuka trees grow wild. The fresh leaves and branches are harvested gently by hand, following sustainable methods, then separated and processed via steam distillation. The products are certified with the New Zealand BioGro organic seal.

The kanuka tree belongs to the myrtle (Myrtaceae) family and is endemic to Australia and New Zealand. It can grow up to 8m tall and produces small, pointed leaves and pale pink flowers.

The resinous-sweet aroma conveys a feeling of strength and resilience during mental overstrain and nervous restlessness.
