Finest Origin - Highest Grade

These cajeput trees are cultivated in the tropical climate of Vietnam since 2001 controlled organic. The warm and humid climate and the nature of the soil are optimal for their growth and thus for the formation of their ingredients, such as 1,8-cineole and alpha-terpinene. The fresh branches with leaves and flowers are gently harvested by hand throughout the year. The fresh harvest is distilled with passion and many years of experience in our own distillery with steam, which allows the fine aromas of cajeput to develop in high concentration.

Farm

We source this essential oil from a renowned and certified producer located in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France. The company was founded in the early 20th century and has cooperation partners worldwide, small to large farms, where the plants' origin and quality are well monitored. The essential oils are extracted on site either by gentle steam distillation in a stainless steel tank or by cold pressing. The first certified organic products date back to 2001.

Cajeput

The evergreen cajeput tree is native to Southeast Asia and the tropical north of Australia. The plant species belongs to the species-rich genus Melaleuca and family Myrtaceae. The tree grows to a height of 35 meters and has a gray, brown or cream colored papery bark. The flowers can be white, cream or greenish-yellow. Aboriginal Australians used the leaves of the plant as a painkiller and inhaled the freshly crushed leaves for respiratory infections. In Thailand, the leaves were drunk as a tea for a variety of medical problems. Cajeput oil has been praised as a panacea in Asian countries for centuries and came to Europe with the Dutch in the 17th century.

Aroma

With its strengthening, invigorating and balancing properties, the fresh fruity fragrance offers ideal support for exhaustion and depression.
