DR. JOERG SCHWEIKART
Founder of Sunday Natural
I am often approached with the same question:
"Which supplements do you actually take – and which can you recommend?"
While exact nutritional requirements naturally vary according to individual diets and circumstances, I would like to provide a general recommendation; I am firmly convinced that this is beneficial for almost everyone. I've selected these products based on over 20 years of practical experience in the field of nutritional supplementation, close collaboration with medical specialists and consultation with leading laboratories in nutrient analysis.
I have curated the following recommendations from our bestsellers with the goal of bridging any nutritional gaps resulting from an unbalanced diet, addressing the health challenges of a stressful daily routine and meeting the increased demands placed on our immune systems.
Our "Sunday Sets" reflect a comprehensive foundational nutrition plan that I highly recommend to my loved ones, close friends and acquaintances. For me, these nutrients form an essential pillar for maintaining overall health. I have personally taken this exact combination for years and share it with my entire family – even my 92-year-old mother.

THE IDEA BEHIND OUR STARTER SETS

MULTIVITAMIN – THE "CORE"
A high-quality multivitamin successfully provides most essential vitamins and minerals. As the cornerstone of nutrition, it should be a truly deliberate choice.
It is important that
- the nutrients are sufficiently highly dosed
- these doses are harmonised with one another
- as many premium-grade bioactive forms as possible are included
When it comes to minerals, balanced and harmonised supplementation is particularly important as absorption interference and deficiencies can otherwise occur. Our All In One Premium is a long-established and exceptionally well-balanced blend with a broad spectrum of nutrients in a wide variety of forms.

ESSENTIAL MACRONUTRIENTS
Important and, in my opinion, often essential nutrients – specifically magnesium, vitamin D3 + K2, omega-3 and vitamin C – are difficult to integrate into a multivitamin at optimal doses. They are therefore provided separately, allowing for more precise dosing.
I recommend the following nutrients to complement your multivitamin:
VITAMIN D
MAGNESIUM

Multivitamins typically contain around 1000 IU of vitamin D, which falls within the scope of legally limited official recommendations. Physiologically speaking, however, the body can produce well over 4000 IU on sunny days; many experts therefore believe that actual requirements are closer to these levels. Numerous modern laboratory analyses also support the view that optimal efficacy is only achieved at doses significantly higher than 1000 IU. (1)

As a raw material, magnesium takes up a lot of space, making it impractical to include sufficient amounts within a multivitamin. Even the German Nutrition Society – who is often conservative in their approach – recommends at least 300mg of magnesium per day. (2) Leading magnesium experts, such as Carolyn Dean, suggest 400–600mg per day. To keep the capsule size manageable, multivitamins typically contain only 100–150mg, which is why I advise an additional 200mg of magnesium.
Many people I know prefer taking magnesium before bed, which also makes it practical to take separately from a multivitamin.

OMEGA-3 FATTY ACIDS
COENZYME Q10 UBIQUINOL

Omega-3 is a class of fatty acids that function as both essential building blocks of all cell membranes and as signalling molecules. They are important for the function of the heart (DHA and EPA) and brain (DHA), amongst other functions, and are being extensively researched for numerous other effects. In nature, the active forms DHA and EPA are found almost exclusively in fish, which is why almost 80% of the global population is affected by inadequate intake, according to official surveys. (4)
I recommend omega-3 intake across all age groups (with individualised approaches to dosing). Our Omega-3 Complete conveniently provides a rich supply of all essential omega fatty acids in one product.

Coenzyme Q10 is one of the most important nutrients for the mitochondria, which provide our body with energy. Although the body can produce this substance itself, production often declines rapidly from the age of 20. (3) Many people therefore benefit from taking 100mg of ubiquinol – the reduced, non-oxidised form – which is rarely included in multivitamins due to stability and cost.
It is important that we use the original patented ubiquinol from Kaneka in Japan. The quality of foreign imitations is highly questionable and constitutes a clear patent infringement; due to lower price points, imitations are frequently found on the market, at times even fraudulently labelled as Kaneka Ubiquinol. Sunday Natural exclusively sells the authentic Kaneka ubiquinol and maintains a strong, long-standing relationship with the manufacturer.

VITAMIN C
AMINO ACIDS & PROTEIN

Similar to magnesium, vitamin C as a raw material takes up a lot of space, which places strict limits on the maximum dosage possible in a multivitamin. In my view, official recommendations for vitamin C are extremely low at just 110mg, given that almost all recent scientific studies suggest a minimum requirement of at least 200mg.
Leading experts and institutes recommend significantly higher vitamin C dosages:
- The Linus Pauling Institute recommends 400mg
- The Vitamin C Foundation suggests 3000mg
- Dr. Wang Jae Lee and Thomas E Levy advise 6000mg per day (5, 6)
A daily dose of 1000mg has become a widely accepted standard, and it is what I recommend to my own family and friends for maintaining general health. To keep the capsule size manageable, our All In One Premium contains only 125mg of vitamin C; therefore, additional vitamin C intake is advisable to reach a total daily dose of approximately 1000mg. Our buffered vitamin C is exceptionally gentle and well-tolerated, which is why I have chosen it as the standard recommendation.

Many people do not consume enough high-quality protein due to their dietary habits. Even with a predominantly plant-based diet, people often fall short on consuming enough of this essential building block as nuts and legumes contain a majority of plant-based protein.
Our Essentials Amino Complex Plus provides a foundational supply of the 8 key essential amino acids in a finely balanced ratio known as the Master Amino Acid Pattern (MAP). Based on the work of Professor Lucà-Moretti, this specific ratio achieves optimal body protein synthesis with a net nitrogen utilisation (NNU) of 99%, compared to just 16–48% for amino acids derived from dietary proteins.
The formula is further enriched with glutamine, the body’s most abundant amino acid, and glycine, which is conditionally essential. It also features L-theanine derived from green tea, the neurotransmitter GABA and the antioxidant L-glutathione, alongside pure L-carnitine and taurine. Rich in phytochemicals, Chinese yam powder serves as the superfood matrix.

"Longevity Booster"
I would like to highlight another important product to supplement the nutrients already mentioned.
I recommend a targeted intake of phytochemicals. As components of plants and herbs, these highly effective compounds have been an integral part of our diet for thousands of years, but they are often lacking in modern nutrition. I therefore recommend taking these “longevity boosters” daily as a form of baseline prevention, alongside the nutrients mentioned above.
GC1® PREMIUM MATCHA SACHETS
The health benefits of green tea are well documented by thousands of scientific studies: its numerous valuable phytochemicals can make an important contribution to maintaining good health. I therefore recommend that adults consume high-quality green tea from pesticide-free cultivation daily.
For particularly quick and easy preparation in everyday life, I recommend our exceptionally high-quality GC1® matcha powder – offered in practical sachets for easy portioning.
GC1® is a proprietary development that we are particularly proud of. Through the selection of special green tea varieties, a specific cultivation method and shading, as well as a gentle and exceptionally fine milling process, we have created a unique powdered blend of sencha and matcha with an unprecedented phytochemical profile. While Matcha typically features high amounts of L-theanine and chlorophyll and Sencha tea contains many catechins and other polyphenols, GC1® achieves very high levels across all of these compounds. It also has a mild, exceptionally balanced taste with minimal bitterness and dissolves easily in water. Thanks to the fine milling, the active ingredients are significantly more bioavailable than in conventional green tea powder.
To prepare a delicious drink: simply stir the powder from one sachet into hot or cold water (e.g., with ice cubes) and your tea is ready to drink. You can also prepare a matcha latte by choosing oat or coconut milk, or have it as a healthy alternative to coffee. Matcha truly is the perfect drink to enjoy in everyday life.

I often receive this follow up question:
"When is the best time to take each supplement?"
The simplest answer is: any time is far better than not taking them at all!
Although mutual inhibition between some nutrients certainly occurs, we carefully select diverse nutrient forms to ensure they use distinct transport pathways – this prevents them from competing for absorption.
At higher doses, nutrients face considerably less competition due to an increased role of passive absorption mechanisms.
As a general rule, I recommend taking supplements with or immediately after a meal, as this often improves tolerance by most people. While some inhibition from foods does occur, this effect is often overstated; hundreds of blood analyses consistently show that taking supplements after a meal remains highly effective.
Dividing your supplements across two or three meals is also a very practical approach: building them into your daily meal routine makes them much harder to forget.
For all the nutrients mentioned here, I believe any mutual inhibition is so negligible that, in theory, all of these supplements can be taken together.
We have developed three different Starter Sets to accommodate various nutritional needs and lifestyles. The right choice for you depends on your individual requirements and daily routine.
- Sunday Set – Starter (the basics): Designed for beginners, this set provides an optimised baseline supply of all essential micronutrients (a premium multivitamin, vitamin D3 + K2, magnesium and omega-3).
- Sunday Set – Plus (comprehensive care): This set includes coenzyme Q10 and vitamin C for additional support – we recommend it for long-term maintenance of vitality and to support your body in the ever-increasing demands of everyday life. Coenzyme Q10 plays a central role in mitochondrial energy production; however, since endogenous Q10 synthesis declines rapidly starting at 20 years of age, this Starter Set is particularly beneficial for those in mid-life. Additionally, vitamin C is essential for supporting the immune system and protecting cells from oxidative stress.
- Sunday Set – Premium (with aminos): This set is ideal for athletes as well as for the recovery and development of multiple bodily processes. In addition to all products contained in the Plus set, it features a specialised amino acid complex (Multi Aminos Plus). Amino acids are the primary building blocks for muscles, immune cells, antibodies, hormones, neurotransmitters and enzymes. This formula also contains important compounds such as glutathione and carnitine.
A multivitamin is the core of any nutritional regimen, yet it faces a couple noteworthy limitations:
- Lack of space: As physical raw materials, certain nutrients – such as magnesium and vitamin C – take up quite a lot of space, making it technically almost impossible to include them in a single multivitamin at their optimal doses. In fact, reaching optimal doses for magnesium alone often requires several capsules. To minimise the number of capsules needed, it is much more practical to provide moderate amounts of magnesium in a multivitamin and supplement the rest separately.
- Individual dosing: Certain nutrients need to be tailored to individual requirements for supplementation; it therefore makes more sense to separate them from otherwise standardised doses. For example, vitamin D requirements fluctuate significantly between winter and summer. To avoid the need for a “summer multivitamin” and a “winter multivitamin,” it is more practical to provide a baseline dose within the multivitamin and cover additional requirements separately.
Our multivitamin supplies a broad spectrum of nutrients and can stand alone as a foundational supplement. However, since we aimed to reduce the amount of capsules needed, it unfortunately cannot deliver an ideal dose for every ingredient.
- Vitamin C: All In One Premium contains 125mg vitamin C, covering 100% of the official recommended daily intake. However, various experts recommend 400–1000mg to optimally maintain health; providing this amount would require its own capsule, which is why we have reduced the dose in our multivitamin.
- Magnesium: Similar to vitamin C, a multivitamin usually contains 100–150mg magnesium, but several capsules would be required to reach the optimal daily dose of 300–400mg.
- Omega-3 fatty acids Not only do they also take up a lot of space, but they are also preferably delivered in the form of softgels or liquid capsules. Since All In One Premium is a dry capsule, it is much more practical to separately supplement omega-3.
All individual products can be taken as needed. We recommend taking 2–4 capsules of the All In One Premium daily.
- Taking 2 capsules daily provides a 2-month supply.
- Taking 4 capsules daily provides a 1-month supply, meaning the All In One Premium would need to be reordered.
The Starter Sets are designed to provide you with a physiologically optimal baseline dose of all essential micronutrients. In our opinion, this is the most important contribution toward maintaining long-term health.
All the nutrients provided in these sets ensure that your body is ideally equipped for all essential functions.
Depending on your health goals and lifestyle, incorporating additional nutrients can be highly beneficial to provide individualised, targeted support.
These goals can vary widely and may include:
- Supporting your mental health and cognitive function
- Protecting your cardiovascular system
- Improving the appearance of your skin
- Protecting your nerves
- Strengthening your bones
- Building muscle
Different supplements are clearly needed to target each of these specific areas. Therefore, the goal of our Starter Sets is to provide a foundational supply for everybody, which can then be further complemented by "boosters" tailored to individual health goals.
