Tasting Notes & Preparation

GC1® Matcha Premium combines the very best of Sencha, Matcha and Gyokuro in one all-in-one powder. Its delicate, naturally sweet umami and exceptionally creamy mouthfeel are the result of careful pre-harvest shading and ultra-fine milling. Despite its high catechin content, it has a pleasant chlorophyll freshness and a refined, gentle bitterness. It impresses with not only its functional benefits but also its sophisticated flavour profile, even surpassing some traditional Matcha in taste.

For one serving, simply add one sachet (2g) to a cup, pour over 250ml of hot or cold water, stir well – and it’s ready to enjoy! Adjust the amount of water to suit your preferred intensity.

Alternatively, it can simply be shaken into a water bottle, making it ideal for on-the-go or while travelling. Add one sachet directly into the bottle, shake and enjoy.

Packaging

Packaged in premium aroma-protection sachets, both the fresh aroma and the bioactives are protected from external influences. Each 2g sachet contains a daily dose of highly concentrated green tea bioactives, making GC1® Matcha the ideal choice for your daily green tea ritual. The sachets are perfect to enjoy not only at home or in the office, but also on the go and when travelling.

We recommend holding the sachet by the top opening and shaking it gently before opening, so that the matcha powder collects at the bottom. To prevent any matcha dust from escaping, we recommend cutting the sachet open with scissors; alternatively, tear it open by hand at the marked tear line.

Laboratory Tests

We go to great lengths to identify the finest organic tea farms across the world’s most celebrated terroirs. All our teas are sourced directly from the farmer and, with a few exceptions, are certified organic or come from pesticide-free farms. Each batch of tea for every harvest is tested for pesticides and other pollutants in an independent German lab to ensure they meet our strict quality standards as well as HACCP food safety requirements. Likewise, the regions of Japan from which we source our teas are tested for radioactivity for every harvest.
