YLANG YLANG
The ylang ylang trees (Cananga odorata) thrive in tropical and subtropical forests from India to Australia, as well as on the Pacific Islands and the Indian Ocean, in countries such as the Comoros and Madagascar. These exotic plants belong to the Annonaceae family. The tree grows up to 20m tall, and has hanging branches with medium to dark green leaves. In autumn, it produces clusters of highly fragrant yellow flowers. Distilled in stages, the petals produce different distillates with correspondingly different aromas within the period of around 20 hours.
