The fir trees used for this essential oil grow wild in the mountainous region of Bagmati at elevations between 1,000 and 1,500 metres. Their fine aromatic components, such as limonene, alpha- and beta-pinene and alpha-fenchene, can develop harmoniously in the temperate climate of this diverse, fertile landscape. During the harvest, which takes place between September and February, the needled branches are carefully harvested by hand, collected in baskets and further processed with steam in the company's own distillery.

Finest Origin - Highest Grade
Farm
This family-run producer was founded in Nepal around 2010. The producer regularly recruits new farms for cooperation, and farmers are thoroughly trained in organic cultivation methods. The farm's essential oils are derived from plants which are all either wildcrafted or cultivated organically, in the mountains of Nepal. The plants are then processed in the producer's own distilleries located across the country. The producer's passion for growing and nurturing aromatic indigenous plants is reflected by the fine aromas of the oils. Most of the products are certified with the EU organic seal.
East Himalayan Fir
Himalayan firs (Abies spectabilis) are mainly found, as their name suggests, in the regions around the Himalayas, such as Afghanistan, Kashmir, north-western India, Nepal and Bhutan. They belong to the pine family (Pinaceae) and can reach a height of 50 metres and a diameter of up to 1.5 metres. Their cone-shaped crown is adorned with widely spaced branches, and their bark is scaly and rough. They form round, resinous buds. The needles are up to 6cm long and 4mm wide. Traditionally, the leaves are used to treat coughs and respiratory diseases as well as to aid digestion. In some regions, the needles of the Himalayan fir are used as incense to invigorate and refresh the atmosphere.
Aroma
This fresh aroma offers space to breathe and let things go. This feeling of liberating vastness can give rise to clarity and foresight.
