Finest Origin - Highest Grade

The citron trees are cultivated organically in sunny Sicily, where the climatic conditions, including the Mediterranean winds, strong sunlight, heat and dryness, offer optimal growing conditions for the trees. The fruits are hand-harvested by experienced farmers between the months of October and February, which allows time for the fruits to develop high concentrations of valuable compounds such as limonene, gamma-terpinene and citral. Following sorting and washing, the peels are cold pressed on site.

Farm

This essential oil is manufactured by a family-run company in France. Founded in 1990 and specialising in the organic cultivation of indigenous aromatic plants, the business now works with local farmers worldwide. Their many years of experience in organic cultivation, as well as the passion they imbue into all levels of production, are reflected in the harmoniously balanced essential oils they produce. Their aromas, obtained either from steam distillation or cold pressing, are well recognised in the perfume industry, and their entire product range is EU certified organic.

Citron

Like most citrus trees, the citron tree belongs to the Rutaceae family. This evergreen tree probably originated in South East Asia but is now commonly cultivated in Calabria, Sicily and Puerto Rico. Following fertilisation, the fragrant white flowers form large fruits which have a thick skin and resemble lemons.

Aroma

The fresh, citrus-like scent is vitalising and promotes feelings of courage and confidence while improving mood.
