Our zinc picolinate meets the highest standards of purity, availability and gentle use. At its core is a chemically organic zinc chelate, in which the essential trace element is bound to picolinic acid. As picolinic acid is an endogenous metabolite, this organic compound is easily recognised by the digestive system and can be reliably absorbed via the intestines. Zinc picolinate is therefore an excellent source for daily nutritional supply.
We leave nothing to chance when selecting our raw materials. Our zinc picolinate is characterised by a purity of approximately 98%; each batch is verified using modern FT-IR spectroscopy. To guarantee an exact dosage, the elemental zinc content is standardised to at least 18.0% via the ICP-OES method – the gold standard in elemental analysis. Each capsule therefore reliably delivers 15mg pure zinc (150% NRV). Thanks to a defined particle size of 60 mesh and a controlled pH value, the powder dissolves quickly and is pleasant to consume.
The only other ingredient is premium gum arabic, cultivated without the use of plant protection products. In contrast to microcrystalline cellulose, a widely used synthetic filler often mixed with nanoparticles, gum arabic is a natural, fibre-rich food. Our fair trade gum arabic is climate neutral and is sustainably cultivated to conserve resources.
For the capsule shells we use custom-made HPMC capsules that, unlike most other HPMC and pullulan capsules on the market, are 100% free from controversial additives such as carrageenans and PEG. We then package this product in environmentally friendly amber glass.
