How are we different?

The majority of conventional zinc supplements consist of synthetically produced active ingredients. By contrast, our zinc is extracted from guava leaves, making it currently the world's only 100% natural zinc active ingredient from a plant source. Cultivated in India, the guava leaves (Psidium guajava) undergo an innovative, gentle form of water extraction, during which the zinc is dissolved from the guava leaves with the use of only pure water - no solvents, binders or carrier substances. Unlike typical solvent-based methods, water extraction produces a truly natural plant extract that is undiluted and highly pure. Although the bioavailability of zinc in meat and dairy is normally higher than in plant-based foods, the zinc organically incorporated in the guava leaf's natural compound is highly bioavailable. This is thanks to the phytic acid contained in mineral-rich plants, which has an inhibiting effect on mineral absorption. During the water extraction process, phytic acid is broken down and removed to produce a 100% plant-based zinc with very high bioavailability. For the capsule shells, we use custom-made HPMC capsules that, unlike most other HPMC and pullulan capsules on the market, are 100% free from controversial additives such as carrageenans and PEG. We then package this product in environmentally friendly amber glass.

Zinc from Guava Leaves

The evergreen guava tree (Psidium guajava) belongs to the myrtle family and is native to South America. In addition to 10% tannins, fresh guava leaves contain numerous antioxidant polyphenols such as β-sitosterol, maslinic acid, guaijavolic acid and are also rich in B vitamins (B2, B3, B5, B6) and zinc.

Dosage

Recommended Dosage

Take 1 capsule (20mg zinc) with 200ml water daily.

Food Supplement

Do not exceed the recommended dose. Food supplements cannot replace a balanced and varied diet. Keep out of reach of children.

Contraindications

Zinc is contraindicated in case of hypersensitivity, severe renal insufficiency and acute renal failure.
