The с, also known as "winter savory", belongs to the labiate family (Lamiaceae) and grows as a dwarf semi-shrub with unstalked, linear to lanceolate, 0.5-3cm long, grey-green leaves. It flowers white to lavender-pink in summer. It likes to grow in the Mediterranean region, e.g. in Spain, in dry, open areas and is used as a culinary herb.
