How are we different?
Vegetarian Vitamin D3
All of our vegetarian vitamin D3 oils contain a high-quality premium vitamin D3 as the active ingredient, which has been specially produced for us without any hidden additives—only with MCT oil from coconut and natural vitamin E. The active ingredient is characterised by its purity and guaranteed vitamin D3 content. D3 active ingredients very often contain a whole range of additives, some of which do not have to be declared, such as synthetic vitamin E, ascorbyl palmitate, silicon dioxide, modified starch, sucrose, denatured vegetable oils and maltodextrin. Our vitamin D3 is particularly pure and free from the usual hidden additives due to the elaborate special production according to our specifications.
Our original K2VITAL® vitamin K2 from Norway is one of the few commercial supplements that consists of at least 99.7% highly effective all-trans MK-7.
MCT Coconut Oil for Optimal Absorption
Vitamins D and K2 are both fat-soluble vitamins that can only be absorbed by the body when combined with fats. Sunday Natural Vitamin D3 + K2 is dissolved in high-quality MCT oil for optimal bioavailability and can therefore be directly utilised by the body. In contrast to capsules and tablets that must first be digested in order for their active ingredients to be released, vitamins D3 and K2 combined with oil are readily available and can be optimally absorbed. Our MCT coconut oil is completely free from additives and the medium-chain fatty acids in the carrier oil constitute valuable nutrients themselves.
Oils are easy to use, and are therefore suitable for those who have difficulty swallowing capsules and tablets. All our oils come in amber glass bottles with a high-quality glass dropper. In contrast to dispensing bottles, which are often difficult to use and clog easily, glass droppers are ideal for precise dosage.

Vitamin D
Vitamin D3 naturally occurs almost exclusively in animal sources, particularly in fish, dairy products, eggs and meat. Plants, such as lichens, contain only very small amounts of the vitamin.
Vitamin D plays a very important role in the body. It is one of the few vitamins that is not absorbed directly from food, but rather produced by skin cells from sunlight. It is not a vitamin in the traditional sense of the word, but rather a pro-hormone. Almost all body cells have special receptors for the vitamin D hormone and are dependent on an adequate supply of it.
Vitamin D is still being intensively researched. New mechanisms of action of this fascinating vitamin are discovered almost every year. So far, the following statements on vitamin D have been released by the EU (EFSA) for children:
- Vitamin D is needed for normal growth and development of bone in children
- Vitamin D contributes to the normal function of the immune system in children
Vitamin K2 MK-7
Vitamin K2 exists in various forms, which have different levels of effectiveness. Vitamin K2 MK-7 is considered by far the most effective form of K2 today. However, since vitamin K2 molecules occur in a variety of chemical arrangements (known as cis–trans isomers of vitamin K2), there are considerable differences in efficacy even between different vitamin K2 MK-7 compounds. It is believed that only the trans forms can be utilised by the body.

Daily Requirements
Vitamin D
The different information on the recommended dosage of vitamin D can be confusing. Recommendations vary greatly from organisation to organisation. For adults, for example, the EU recommends 200 IU, while the German Nutrition Society (DGE) recommends 800 IU. However, many researchers and non-profit organisations consider these recommendations to be too low to effectively prevent a deficiency.
Vitamin K2
There are currently no individual recommendations for vitamin K2. The German Nutrition Society recommends a total vitamin K intake of at least 70µg.

Do not exceed the recommended daily intake. Food supplements are not a substitute for a balanced, varied diet and healthy lifestyle. Keep out of reach of young children.
