How are we different?

Vitamin D3 occurs in nature almost exclusively in animal sources. Plants, on the other hand, contain only very small amounts of the far less effective vitamin D2. Vitamin D3 active ingredients are therefore often obtained from raw materials such as sheep's wool, fish oil or shellfish. For our Vitamin D3 + K2 MK7 we rely on a vegetarian source of vitamin D3. It consists of a natural, high-quality and vegetarian vitamin D3 active ingredient from sheep's wool.

Our vitamin K2 comes from the leading European quality manufacturer and is a true premium active ingredient. Unlike cheaper alternatives and imported active ingredients, 100% of the total K2 content is in the actual effective form as K2 MK7 all-trans. In this way, quality fluctuations, impurities and high proportions of ineffective K2 forms can be completely eliminated.

As only carrier we use high-quality MCT oil from coconut, which comes from cultivation without plant protection products and is produced in Germany. The valuable medium-chain fatty acids ensure better absorption of the fat-soluble vitamins D3 and K2.

Vitamin K2 MK7 All-Trans from Norway

Vitamin K2 exists in different forms, which have different efficacy. Today, vitamin K2 MK7 is considered by far the most effective form of K2. Even between different vitamin K2 MK7 active ingredients, there are again significant differences, because the molecule of the vitamin occurs in different chemical arrangements - they are called cis- and trans-isomers of vitamin K2. It is assumed that only the trans form can be utilized by the body properly.

Our original K2VITAL® vitamin K2 from Norway is one of the few active ingredients on the market that can guarantee 100% of the highly effective all-trans MK7 for the stated vitamin K2 content and can reliably guarantee this through a special laboratory test made in Norway.

MCT Carrier Oil for Optimal Protection and Better Absorption

Vitamin D and vitamin K2 are fat-soluble vitamins and can be absorbed by the body only together with fats. For our Sunday Natural Vitamin D3 + K2 drops, we have therefore selected a particularly high-quality MCT oil based on coconut oil, produced in Germany, as carrier oil. MCT oil hardly decomposes the fat-soluble vitamins in contrast to other carrier oils such as olive oil, making it the best option for optimal active ingredient protection, while the medium-chain fatty acids of the carrier oil also represent a valuable nutrient themselves. To additionally guarantee the active ingredient content, we have our finished drops (i.e. not just the raw materials!) tested by an independent German laboratory.

While capsules and tablets must first dissolve in the body to release the active ingredient, vitamin D3 and K2 from oil are already immediately bioavailable in the mouth and can thus be optimally absorbed. Oils are also particularly convenient to use and are also suitable for people who have difficulty swallowing capsules or tablets. All of our oils come with high-quality glass pipettes that make drop-accurate dosing particularly easy. Unlike dropper bottles, which are often difficult to handle and tend to smear, glass pipettes are characterized by comfortable and clean handling.

All of our vegetarian vitamin D products contain premium vitamin D3 as an active ingredient, which is custom-made in the USA according to our strict specifications. This ingredient is notable for its absolute purity and use of high-quality MCT coconut oil as a carrier oil.

Vitamin D and Vitamin K2

Vitamin D and vitamin K2 are cofactors in the regulation of calcium metabolism.Together, the two vitamins control the formation and breakdown of bone cells and important transport molecules that ensure the correct utilisation of calcium.

A pre-existing vitamin K2 deficiency combined with vitamin D3 supplementation can increase the risk of calcium buildup in blood vessels and organs (leading to calcification, arteriosclerosis, kidney stones, etc.). Sunday Natural Vitamin D3 and K2 MK7 combines the two nutrients in a ratio that ensures optimal synergy.

Vitamin K2 MK7: All-Trans from Norway

Vitamin K2 exists in different forms, each of which has a different level of efficacy. Vitamin K2 MK7 is today considered by far the most effective form of K2. Since vitamin molecules take different chemical forms (the so-called cis-trans isomers of vitamin K2), there are enormous differences even between different vitamin K2 MK7 active substances. It is believed that only the trans forms can be utilised by the body.

Original K2VITAL® vitamin K2 from Norway is one of the few commercial supplements that consists of 100% highly effective all-trans MK7, guaranteed by Norwegian laboratory testing.

MCT Coconut Oil for Optimal Absorption

Vitamins D and K2 are both fat-soluble vitamins that can only be absorbed by the body when combined with fats. Sunday Natural Vitamin D3 + K2 is dissolved in high-quality MCT oil for optimal bioavailability and can therefore be directly utilised by the body. In contrast to capsules and tablets that must first be digested in order for their active ingredients to be released, vitamins D3 and K2 combined with oil are readily available and can be optimally absorbed. Our MCT coconut oil is completely free from additives and the medium-chain fatty acids in the carrier oil constitute valuable nutrients themselves.

Oils are easy to use, and are therefore suitable for those who have difficulty swallowing capsules and tablets. All our oils come in amber glass bottles with a high-quality glass dropper. In contrast to dispensing bottles, which are often difficult to use and clog easily, glass droppers are ideal for precise usage.

Recommended Dosage

Take 1 drop with food every day.

Food supplement

Do not exceed the recommended dose. Food supplements cannot replace a balanced and varied diet. Keep out of reach of children.

Recommendations of the German Nutrition Society (DGE)

According to the recommendations of the German Nutrition Society, adults should consume an additional 800 IU vitamin D3 per day in winter.

Note: Numerous researchers and nonprofit organisations believe that these recommendations are too low and are not enough to prevent deficiency. An intake of at least 1,500-2,000 IU or 3,000-6,000 IU are recommended by the American Endocrine Society and the Vitamin D Council (USA), respectively.

Although the German Nutrition Society recommends a total intake of at least 70µg vitamin K per day, there are currently no recommendations for vitamin K2 specifically.

Note: Recent research shows that vitamin K1 and vitamin K2 have distinctly different profiles in terms of their effects. Vitamin K2 requirements have not yet been scientifically established, but are likely higher than those listed by the DGE. A complete carboxylation of Matrix GLA protein (MGP) and osteocalcin, which is the main function of vitamin K2, can be observed in doses starting from 100µg / day.

Application

Sunday Natural Vitamin D3 + K2 MK7 1,000 IU + 50µg can help meet daily intake requirements for vitamins D and K in autumn, winter and spring.

Warning

If you are taking blood thinners (e.g. coumarin, warfarin or Marcoumar) or suffering from a blood coagulation disorder, consult a doctor before taking this product. Vitamin K2 promotes blood coagulation and can interfere with blood thinners.
