Daily Requirements
The contradictory information surrounding daily requirements for vitamin D intake can be very confusing. Daily recommendations vary greatly between different organisations and governing bodies.
For example, the EU recommends a daily intake of 200 IU for adults, while the German Nutrition Society (DGE) recommends 800 IU.
However, numerous researchers and nonprofit organisations believe that these recommendations are too low and are not enough to prevent deficiency. An intake of at least 1,500-2,000 IU or 3,000-6,000 IU are recommended by the American Endocrine Society and the Vitamin D Council (USA), respectively.
Food Supplement
Do not exceed the recommended dose. Food supplements cannot replace a balanced and varied diet. Note: Not suitable for children under 7 years. Keep out of reach of children.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. To optimise shelf-life, keep in the refrigerator.
