How are we different?
Our Vitamin D Liposomal Spray features a completely vegetarian vitamin D3 obtained from sheep's wool. The active ingredient is incorporated in a nanoemulsion with droplet sizes of only 20–100nm. This nanoemulsion is not to be confused with nanoparticles, which consist of assemblies of atoms or molecules. The nanoemulsion used here is similar in structure to liposomes, which also occur naturally in human cells. The special structure and advanced nano-droplet formulation facilitate rapid absorption via the oral mucosa and increase the bioavailability of the vitamin. This way, vitamin D3 enters the bloodstream directly and does not have to pass through the liver first, as is the case with absorption via the intestine; intestinal absorption issues are also avoided.
We have opted for vitamin E (alpha-tocopherol) as an antioxidant, which is extracted from non-GMO soybeans in Europe.
The orange peel oil in this formulation comes from Spain and gives the spray a refreshing and pleasant flavour.
Effects
Vitamin D
Vitamin D3 naturally occurs almost exclusively in animal sources, particularly in fish, dairy products, eggs and meat. Plants, such as lichens and various fungi, contain only very small amounts of the much less effective form of vitamin D2.
Vitamin D plays a very important role in the body. It is one of the few vitamins that is not absorbed directly from food, but rather produced by skin cells from sunlight. It is not a vitamin in the traditional sense of the word, but rather a pro-hormone. In contrast to many other vitamins, vitamin D is converted into an important hormone which regulates cell functioning and bodily processes. Almost all bodily cells have special receptors for the vitamin D hormone that are dependent on sufficient supply.
Vitamin D is still being intensively researched. New mechanisms of action of this fascinating vitamin are discovered almost every year. So far, the following statements on vitamin D have been released by the EU (EFSA):
Vitamin D contributes to:
- Normal absorption and utilisation of calcium and phosphorus
- Normal calcium levels in the blood
- The maintenance of bones
- The maintenance of normal muscle function
- The maintenance of healthy teeth
- Normal function of the immune system
- Cell division
Dosage
Directions
Shake well. Take 1 spray daily with a meal.
Daily Requirements
The contradictory information surrounding daily requirements for vitamin D intake can be confusing. Daily recommendations vary greatly between different organisations and governing bodies.
For example, the EU recommends a daily intake of 200 IU for adults, while the German Nutrition Society (DGE) recommends 800 IU. However, numerous researchers and nonprofit organisations believe that these recommendations are too low and are not enough to prevent deficiency.
Food Supplement
Do not exceed the recommended daily intake. Food supplements are not a substitute for a balanced, varied diet and healthy lifestyle. Keep out of reach of young children.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. To optimise shelf-life, keep in the refrigerator.

Laboratory Tests
The purity of our formulas is important to us. This is why we have both our raw ingredients as well as our finished products extensively tested by independent laboratories to confirm purity and active ingredient content. Here, we have provided the results of some of the tests carried out on this product.
