We use L-methylfolate in the form of Quatrefolic®, a premium active ingredient, which is almost completely pure and guaranteed to contain more than 99.9% bioactive folate in the L-methylfolate form. Quatrefolic® is a patented active ingredient, in which methylfolate binds to purely vegan glucosamine derived from fermentation. This is how it becomes stable and safeguards an optimal shelf life as well as efficacy. Glucosamine is a valuable part of various body tissues and an additional asset for the overall effect of the product. Quatrefolic® is characterised by its unique bioavailability and can be directly utilised by the body. It is characterised by its high quality and is one of the two most efficient forms of L-methylfolate thanks to its extreme purity, high stability, and excellent bioavailability.
The geometric variant R-methylfolate, which exists along with L-methylfolate, cannot be utilized by the body. Many active ingredients contain a combination of these two forms as they appear together in most production processes. Common forms of methylfolate can contain up to 50% of these ineffective variants.
The only additional ingredient is premium gum arabic from pesticide-free cultivation, used as a natural bulking agent. In contrast to conventional synthetic fillers such as microcrystalline cellulose, which is mixed with nano-particles, we use a natural, fibre-rich foodstuff. Our gum arabic comes from climate-neutral, sustainable, resource-conserving, fair cultivation.
For the capsule shells we use custom-made HPMC capsules that, unlike most other HPMC and pullulan capsules on the market, are 100% free from controversial additives such as carrageenans and PEG. We then package this product in environmentally friendly amber glass.
