Lemon verbena plants are grown organically in the Occitane region in south-west France. The Mediterranean climate of this region supports the development of complex natural active ingredients such as geraniol, neral, limonene and beta caryophyllene, which emphasise the typical fresh, citrusy, sweet aroma of lemon verbena. To produce the essential oil, the twigs and leaves are harvested in June and September and distilled fresh in the company's own distillery using gentle steam. The manufacturers' passion for high-quality essential oils is reflected in this fresh, aromatic fragrance profile.

This essential oil is produced by certified organic partners who have been running an organic farm and distillery in the Occitane region of France since 2018. The owners are dedicated to innovative and sustainable methods of controlled organic cultivation of aromatic plants and cultivate land in the Gard, Loire and Provence regions. They also work with numerous organic farmers and producers in France, Spain, Nepal and Madagascar. Their passion for producing and distributing essential oils and hydrosols is reflected in the high quality of their products, which have been certified organic since 2018.

Lemon verbena

Lemon verbena (Aloysia citrodora) is a shrubby, perennial plant from the verbena family (Verbenaceae). Originally native to South America, the shrub is now cultivated in southern France, Italy and North Africa, among other places. The plant grows to a height of 2 to 3 metres and has very aromatic, lemony-scented leaves. It produces delicate purple or white flowers in the early summer months. Verbena is used in perfumes because of its fresh, pure and citrusy flavour. The fresh or dried leaves, infused with hot or cold water, are a popular infusion. Lemon verbena is traditionally used for nervous conditions that manifest themselves in digestive complaints.
