How are we different?
This turmeric complex combines concentrated curcuminoids from turmeric extract with the full spectrum of phytochemicals from the turmeric root in its natural powder form. This combination creates an ideal synergy of high-dose curcuminoids with other valuable phytochemicals of the entire turmeric root.
Turmeric extracts available on the market often consist only of isolated curcuminoids or are even partially enriched with curcuminoids from synthetic production. We use only high-quality extracts from 100% natural sources. Our 67:1 extract is standardised to a content of 95% curcuminoids and extracted via pure food-grade ethanol extraction, which guarantees no solvent extraction residues, such as methanol, acetone or n-hexane.
Our 100% pure turmeric powder with 3.7% curcuminoids is obtained from the whole root. Good turmeric qualities can be identified by a curcumin or curcuminoid content of between 2.5% and 5%. The value fluctuates partly because it is a natural product.
Both raw materials are sourced directly from producers in India: the plants are grown there without the use of plant protection products and are not exposed to irradiation, allowing the natural turmeric phytochemical profile to develop fully and robustly. The tubers are gently shade-dried, finely ground and then extracted or used directly as powder. The fresher the turmeric, the more essential oils and phytochemicals are still present, which is why long-term storage is not an option for us.
According to our own experiences and research, raw food quality is not a quality criterion for turmeric, as it is always associated with microbiological risks. In connection with salmonella, other germs or mould, the quality can quickly decrease. Gentle steam sterilisation (i.e., germ reduction by hot steam) is a method to make a product cleaner, which is even mandatory for all high-quality turmeric raw materials from India. Many manufacturers often declare their turmeric powder as raw food, which should not be possible with naturally grown turmeric raw materials from India.
For the capsule shells we use custom-made HPMC capsules that, unlike most other HPMC and pullulan capsules on the market, are 100% free from controversial additives such as carrageenans and PEG. We use environmentally friendly amber glass jars for the packaging of this product.

Turmeric (Curcuma longa L.) is a ginger plant native to India, where it has been revered as sacred for over 5000 years. According to ancient writings in the Indian Vedas, "turmeric" or "Indian saffron" was considered one of the most important spices of its time. Turmeric species have also been known in European herbalism since ancient times. In both cases, turmeric has been traditionally valued for the synergy of the nutrients found in the roots.
Turmeric is one of the most well-researched plants in the world—research primarily focuses on curcuminoids, a group of phytochemicals found in the plant's roots.
Curcuminoids, or "Curcumin"
Curcumin, cyclocurcumin, bisdemethoxycurcumin and demethoxycurcumin (the curcuminoids, or "curcumin") are key components of the root. Each capsule of our premium turmeric extract + powder contains 150mg pure curcuminoids, equivalent to 10,669mg turmeric powder. Organic piperine acts as a bioenhancer, increasing absorption of the poorly soluble, lipophilic curcuminoids with a low bioavailability by 2000%. The extract is derived through a pure ethanol extraction process and is therefore guaranteed free from extraction residues such as n-hexane, acetone and methanol.
20x Higher Bioavailability Due to Piperine
The alkaloid piperine is a bioenhancer commonly found in pepper that improves the bioavailability of other ingredients by increasing intestinal wall permeability and blocking liver enzymes (CYP-enzymes) that impede the reabsorption of certain ingredients due to the first pass effect. The piperine used in our products is derived from black pepper extract and is guaranteed free from synthetic materials as well as pesticides and extraction residues such as n-hexane, acetone and methanol.
