We obtain our highly pure taxifolin from the larch wood (Larix gmelinii). We attach great value to the use of the purest possible extraction methods, using pure water and ethanol, and avoiding the use of extraction agents such as N-hexane or methanol altogether. Our extract is therefore 100% natural and purely plant-based. Furthermore, the sterilisation process is carried out exclusively with steam and the raw material is then air-dried without using any carriers. Naturally, we also refrain from irradiation.
In the interest of sustainability, we only use plant parts that are needed for this extract and for which the wood industry has no use, while ensuring the highest possible quality.
The only other ingredient we use as natural filler is premium acacia fibre from cultivation without pesticides. In contrast to microcrystalline cellulose, the customary synthetic filler that contains nanoparticles, we use a naturally high-fibre foodstuff as a filler. Our acacia fibre comes from climate-neutral, resource-conserving and fair cultivation.
High-performance liquid chromatography is used to determine the flavonoid concentration accurately. In addition to extremely valuable taxifolin, which has an ORAC value of 24,992μM TE/g, other synergistic active partners have been identified that optimally enhance their properties when used in combination. These include aromadendrin, eriodictyol, quercetin, naringenin and pinocembrin.
For the capsule shells we use custom-made HPMC capsules that, unlike most other HPMC and pullulan capsules on the market, are 100% free from controversial additives such as carrageenans and PEG. We then package this product in environmentally friendly amber glass.
