How are we different?
Our Synapsogen Complex Myco was developed in collaboration with nutrition expert Dr. Alina Lessenich. As a precisely balanced premium blend, it combines the benefits of functional mushrooms with thiamine (vitamin B1), which contributes to the normal functioning of the nervous system and normal psychological function.
Our functional mushrooms are sourced from the renowned mushroom-growing region of Gutian County (600–700m above sea level), in Fujian, China. The wealth of knowledge passed down through Chinese tradition for over 2000 years regarding the benefits and cultivation of these mushrooms is truly exceptional. Today, Chinese cultivators produce the most potent mushrooms, having refined their cultivation methods to the point where the cultivated mushrooms rival their wild counterparts. Our partner farm prioritises natural and traditional cultivation techniques.
When processing our mushroom extracts, we prioritise quality and standardisation. Six of the 7 extracts are derived from the mushrooms' fruiting bodies to ensure their potency; cordyceps is a deliberate exception: this extract is produced by fermentation of CS-4 (Paecilomyces hepiali), a premium mycelium extract which corresponds to the genetic profile of wild Cordyceps and often surpasses it in purity and consistency.
The fruiting bodies of all our mushrooms are gently processed into extracts using a traditional method with water heated to 90–100°C. This so-called "tea method" is one of the gentlest extraction methods and results in a pure extract, free from any toxic chemical solvent residues (e.g., acetone, n-hexane or methanol). The process simultaneously breaks down the otherwise indigestible chitin matrix, allowing it to be recognised by and absorbed in the gut. The extracts are then gently dried and finely ground.
These functional mushrooms are combined with premium vitamin B1 as stable and readily absorbable thiamine hydrochloride. Vitamin B1 contributes to the normal functioning of the nervous system and to normal psychological function.
The entire complex is 100% vegan, free from toxic solvent residues and contains no fillers whatsoever.
For the capsule shells we use custom-made HPMC capsules that, unlike most other HPMC and pullulan capsules on the market, are 100% free from controversial additives such as carrageenans and PEG.

Hericium erinaceus, also known as lion's mane, is considered a delicacy and an important mushroom in Chinese and North American indigenous cultures.
Cordyceps
Cordyceps is an extremely rare, precious mushroom that originally grew in the highlands of Tibet at elevations of over 3000m above sea level. The mushroom was discovered by yak herders, who noticed extraordinary vitality and resistance in the animals that ate it while grazing. Since then, for almost 1500 years, cordyceps has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for strengthening the body.
Reishi
Reishi is one of the most important mushrooms in traditional Chinese herbalism. According to tradition and early records, reishi has been used for around 4000 years.
Agaricus
Agaricus subrufescens, whose common names include Agaricus blazei, almond mushroom and mushroom of the sun, is a species of mushroom native to the Brazilian Amazon. Due to its alleged healing properties, the mushroom is known there as “Cogumelo de Deus,” or God's mushroom. Today, the majority of Agaricus subrufescens is cultivated in Asia. Scientific studies have revealed high concentrations of long-chain polysaccharides in this species, making it a promising addition to the range of edible functional mushrooms.
Auricularia
Lovers of Chinese cuisine will be familiar with the Mu-Err (also known as "cloud ear"), as this "Chinese morel" can be found in many Chinese dishes. Although the mushroom does not have a very pronounced flavour, it is nutritious and its special texture is highly valued. In Europe, its use in herbal medicine has been well-documented since the Middle Ages.
Tremella
Tremella, also known as silver ear, is one of the most popular mushrooms in Chinese cuisine and tradition. Tremella fuciformis is actually a type of yeast and does not form fruiting bodies on its own. As a slimy substance, the yeast moves on until it encounters another fungus; its preferred host is Annulohypoxylon archeri. When these two meet, the yeast penetrates the Annulohypoxylon, the cells fuse and from this fusion begins the growth of a completely new fungus, the silver ear.
Shaggy Ink Cap
Coprinus comatus is also known as shaggy ink cap due to its unique biological process whereby it quickly reduces to black ink after ripening; this "ink" was actually used for writing in the past. When young, however, it is an excellent edible mushroom with a fine aroma.
